    Ok, Blu-Ray. You lose.

    I. See. No. Difference.

Yeah, it's crisp, but no better than a DVD in my opinion.

Depends on what it is you're watching dude.

An example of something that looks pretty bad is Highlander.
A good HD remaster is Ben-Hur (remastered and restored frame by frame from the 65mm film negative).

TNG HD remasters look grainy for a lot of footage (like on the bridge), but there's still quite a bit of stuff that looks better than the DVD versions. They used the best source in all cases.

THOSE IN THE STATES HAVE TO WAIT.
I want it badly. The price is a bit much right now though.

I think the only thing I actually found interesting that was required reading was Crime and Punishment. AXE MURDER IN THE FIRST TEN PAGES? AWESOME.
Garbage city. Gatsby was also awful. Reallllly hated that book. The problem is there is no classic American literature so they take sub-par stuff and call it classic because it's the best there is to offer. I also dislike anything where the author was clearly paid by the word. I'm looking at you Melville and James Fenimore Cooper. LOOKING STRAIGHT AT YOU.

I have enjoyed some Dumas and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. I wouldn't call them favourites, but it was bearable. I actually have a really nice Count of Monte Cristo set lying around somewhere. Unsure what edition, I'd have to find it.

Well, you already know what I recommend.

Martin is decent as well though.

It really shows with newer stuff.

Would agree that remasters are definitely hit and miss. I'm on a couple nutty sites that post a bunch of side by sides and I judge for myself whether the blu is worth it.

Everything looks mediocre on a 90" tv.
Apparently you need to be 12' away from it or your eyes fall out/brain explodes

You know what'll fix that? A bigger TV.

How else will I fit all the seizure inducing awesomeness of DBZ Kai in my life?
