Also it's a really good game, so there's that. It's just that my body won't let me miss a quest/area/collectible item.
Game is a completionist nightmare, especially if you do the Colony Rebuilding side mission that requires you to hunt down rare materials that drop like every once in a blue moon. So prepare for a 100+ hour run if you wanna do all the optional shit. When I finished the JP version a couple of years back I did a bunch of sidequests but eventually got tired of them and just skipped half of them. Still clocked 98 hours or something.

It also means you'll get tons of extra XP and you'll be overleveled as fuck, draining all the challenge out of normal battles. It's almost like they're expecting you to not do everything.

Oh and by the way I gave the English voices a chance and they're fairly good by usual JRPG dub standards, but the JP one is just better, I'm sorry.

Yeah it's pretty freaking massive. Trying to do everything as it becomes available before progressing the story. I was figuring at least 100 hours, which is pretty damn impressive these days.

FFXII? Though I've never played the Japanese version. Shame because that zodiac edition looks pretty sweet.

Don't think you will see many people try to refute that.

You would be surprised. You see, I was frequenting the Gamefaqs boards around the time the EU version came out.

Nah we're talking about Xenoblade Chronicles.

FFXII did a few voices very well (Balthier), but the JP one is still far better. Vayne was intimidating as hell in Japanese while his English dub makes me chuckle. Overall it is still one of the better Engilsh dubs, though.

However, Vaan and Penelo suck both in JP and EN, so there's that.

I'm willing to bet it's that special model that can take two bolts at once.

Ahh fair enough, I just thought that out of english dubs of Japanese RPGs that was probably one of the best. Xenoblade Chronicles I haven't even looked at yet, and probably won't til I get through my current PS3 backlog

Don't know about the market over there, but over here it goes for $100+ cib, generally $110-120. No, really.

I could afford it, but I probably couldn't justify it
