I have this r4

I lost the cd and have been looking everywhere for the files to put on the memory card and there are so many different version of the card that I dont know which ones are used for the one I have. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

P.S. the reason I hate everything R4 now is because they are all clones there is not one real R4 team any more, they vanished off the scene before there was a DSi

I am using it for my 3ds. I tried the woodr4 stuff but didn't work. Not sure if its because my 3ds was updated and they don't have a patch yet or if I have the wrong files.

Your out of luck then, there is no patch period, you can still use the kit on a DS or DS Lite though

To get a flash kit up to date if the 3DS is already updated you need to do that on a DS or DSLite

If the 3DS has an update though and so does you flash kit you can normally update the kit on the 3DS then update the 3DS

If buying a flash kit that works with the newest 3DS update you can often ask the supplier to update the kit for you, some will not do that though unless you get a microSD from them as well, or you can simply borrow a friends DSLite or old original DS to update the flash kit

I was just hoping someone had the same one as me and had the files that youre suppose to copy from the CD to the memory card. Thats what I need. I got another memory card since I lost the other one and I also lost the CD.

The R4 did work on my 3ds before.

Your card may be blocked but it would be worth trying to do the V4.5.0-10 update from that site, you either require the USB updater or a DS/DSlite to update with, the update is not the kernal (the R4Wood that is seems to be using now is a kernal that just sits on the micro SD) the update needs to be ran on the actual flash kit but to run the fash kit to start with if it is blocked on the 3DS you require either a USB flasher or a DS/DSLite to flash the kit with the update

The attached image will tell you what version you have as the cart icon shown should match one of those

This is for the last 9 updates the card had, so if your card is not showing as a Deep Labyrinth game card then it's not updated, but if it is showing as a Deep Labyrinth game card then you already have the latest firmware available for the R4iDSN and the card is simply blocked by Nintendo

Are there multiple models of this particular card (the .cn version)? I've just updated to both the latest wood firmware and 5.1.0-11U on my 3ds, and it doesn't seem to be working ;/

Edit: Answered my own question, apparently my card is one of the revisions that isn't working with the newer 3ds firmware (Revision C I believe? Has the Kirby icon). Should probably note which revisions specifically are still working in your post.

As the info is from another thread and you just jumped into a thread about a different card that had nothing to do with any R4i Gold despite the tittle of the thread

As it happens the thread that has this info is from another site I only chase up info about cards I have unless a question is asked about x card (hence why I went into more detail here)

Yet another 3DS Update

Maybe everyone should stop buying cheap R4 kits and stop all of you getting confused

Wood is not firmware, it is a kernal and does not update the flash kits firmware compat that is only for updating the game compat

Go to the official site and look for an update that is not a kernal update

The new patch for 3DS V4.5.0-10 & DSi V1.45 is releasing!(2013-01-06)
This patch is only for the revision (C, A, 9) 3DS cards, we are still working on those old revision cards(and few revision "c"), will keep it updated on our site soon, thanks for your patience

There are revisions 6,7,8,9,A,C. I would guess that there is also 1,2,3,4,5 & B as well, 1 to 5 no longer having any support B possibly never got released or was called C being the older C revision
