Default Total n00b triforce emulation on wii question?

K I really want to play Mario kart gp 1 and 2, however I also want to be able to load GameCube games from USB. I realize beggers/backupers cant be choosers. Is this possible I got the impression you could only have triforce or USB/gcn support on the wii??

    Serial number Lu70

I've just picked up a spare Wii for the exact same thing, playing MKGP1/2. Here's a quote from the tut I used.

Next, you'll need to get the most recent QuadForce wad. (Download 4.0 for SD Cards, Download 4.1 for USB devices) *Since this is a cMIOS, it overwrites your GCN support with QuadForce. Because of this, I also recommend keeping a copy of the RVL-MIOS-v4.wad so that you can reinstall regular GCN support any time you want, ever.*
A quick google search and I found RVL-MIOS-v4.wad should I want GCN support again, but since there are two more modded Wii consoles in my house, I think the spare will be just for Quadforce.

Edit: after checking, I've got RVL-MIOS-v10.wad

Thanks jackhammer that is not so bad if all I have to do is reinstall a wad. How is Mario kart gp 1/2? it looks deliciously magical. Soon as I saw the wii could load gcn off of externals and emulate triforce I knew I had to hack a wii again for myself. Curious if ikrauga works off the hdd since it wasn't possible to burn and boot in the past?

Both games run quite well from what I've actually played. I'll post a link to the tut I followed, but read through a couple of pages, it seems a few people had problems trying to regain GCN support after using Quadforce.

I was actually after a spare remote and nunchuck, it was an extra £3 for the Wii with all hookups, so I bought that and decided to install Quadforce on it.

Yes I've played F Zero. It seems to take a while to boot up. I only played one race, it played quite well.

The remote and nunchuck were £17, so I paid £20 for the whole system and got a 3 month warranty...not that it's worth the paper it's written on after I modded it.

I was always under the impression a factory reset would re-virginize the wii none the wiser?

I'm still scratching my head why someone bought six wii motes all white... Def child owned I had to soak the straps to get all the feces and boogers off.

I doubt any of the sales reps in the shop would have a clue whether I reset or left it modded.

I apologize for initially posting in the wrong section.

Hah yeah I seriously doubt it myself. Move the homebrew channel over a couple pages and no one would have a clue. Did you bother installing bootmii? I have always been interested in tampering with the home screen.

Glad people here kept up with the scene.

I am scouring eBay currently looking for another wii for the downstairs!

I left my original wii and my hdd with my kid Glad I backed up the majority of my games for my brother.
