Mortal Kombat Trilogy Not Working, freezes right before a fight any help?

Yea so its a psx eboot i got another psx its runs perfectly but why not mortal kombat triogy im running a 6.60 with C-2 I tried holding R but couldn't find the recovery menu when i started the game i went on the recovery menu on the psp home screen and i only found pops plugin in advanced not plugins. Help?
