Wich Final Fantasy is the best?

Final Fantasy, anyone who doesn't know this game is a N.E.R.D. every one knows this game. But there are more final fantasies than VII VII an XI. It started with the NES. But what Final Fantasy is the best?? you tell me. Did I hear that Crono Trigger also a Final Fantasy is....

I'd say Final Fantasy VIII. NO Chrono Trigger is not a FF. It was only released with a FF game because they were the top two games gamers were asking for to put made for the playstaytion. So they dicyded give them a little better graphics and call it the chronicals.

THAT I cant say, they're all so good.... but CT might as well be a final fantasy, it's definetly good enough.... so I cant say my favorite.

Definitely Final Fantasy VIII.. It is the best ever. Plain and simple.

I asked you it, but what is my opinion? Well, I really don't know... For story-line I'd say FF VII, For graphics FF IX and for play time I think FFT. And between the middle of every part I think VIII.... Did any guys of you ever played a Demo or the Full version of FF X??

No. Each one is completely different. Either FFVI or FFVIII is the best. Chrono Trigger isn't barely at the FF level. It's much better. CT took what FF had done, but had a much better battle system, better graphics, better music, and I think a more fun game. I forced my way through FFIV and FFVII. The only thing the series has on it is the plot and character developement. Final Fantasy is the best at that.

I'm sorry to say. Chrono Trigger is a fun game. But the story line didn't apeal to me. I admit i've never completed any of the FF series except 8 and 9. Almost 7 twice. But that is simply because I didn't come to be a FF fan untell I played 8. I just couldn't stand the graphics of anything lower the Tactics.

And gandalf. Yes all of the FF's have many things in common. But it is mostly the plots of the stories. Ya know the world in danger the dansal in destress/love interest. But also they have taken the battle system of every one of the games and made a completly uniqe system the next game in the series coming up with some greate ideas. Although they don't use all of the aspects of each uniqe battle system. They take the best parts of each one and create a completly new and uniqe system. For instance, remember the use of materia in FF7. Well they took that idea and twisted it for the use of abilities in FFIX. And the junction system in FFVIII. The had so many complaints aboute it being to difficult that you probably won't ever se that type of system in a FF game again. Personly I hope this doesn't happen because I liked that system a lot. If you wish to know anything else, I will be glade to tell you what I know.

I would have to agree with Magus about Chrono Trigger. It is simply the best rpg ever! However, ive only really played Final Fantasy 3 and 5. But Final Fantasy plays second fiddle to Chrono Trigger!

Im prolly gonna get my ass whooped for this, but i think the FF games are just your average rpg, only there are almost as amny games in the series as the megaman games...

And CT isnt that good either, what it is though, is the single most overhyped game ever.

Your right. CT is over-hyped. But it delivers everything an rpg fan could want. The only thing they could build on would be character developement. But remember that Square tied up some loose ends in Chrono Cross.

man i just started playin ff7 3 days ago and i think it is the best rpg ever, much better than ff3 ff8 and ct. chrono trigger was ok but it was too god damn short.
