Can't seem to get Jak X working

I'm using free download manager, and winrar to open it and I have checked things like ISP, Firewall, and Anti virus's.
What happens is that it will start up at first but once it gets to the black screen after showing "Playstation 2" it stays on the black screen. This has been my third attempt/download and I get the same thing. What can I try to fix this?

There are many others on the site saying something about a black screen but not sure its the same as mine.

Are you emulating it or playing it in a PS 2 console?

Grab the latest SVN release, because they contain many bug fixes, performance and other enhancements. If you still get a blackscreen after then http://wiki.pcsx2.net/index.php?titl..._Combat_Racing is your answer, see where it says Broken.

sorry I took so long had to take care of business through the day. This was submitted the night right before so I must not have noticed. Yes, everything I do would be on PCSX2 emulator.
