Pokemon Colosseum randomly crashes on Dios Mios

Even though the compatibility list says it works with no issues, I am having issues. I'm using an official copy of Colosseum and I have Dios Mios installed. When I load it from the Wii menu it crashes randomly. When I load it from USB Loader GX, it doesn't make it past The Pokemon Company logo.
How do I stop the random crashing?

Dios Mios does mess up playing from disc as it over rides the drivers used

Without testing myself, just yet make sure you have Dios Mios version 2.8, real nand

Disable all extra options and try without a disc in the drive and then with a disc in the drive

Options like NMM do not work with all games this option is still very much beta and can stop some games from fully booting
