I usually start out by spamming counters on Selfie until I hit lvl 12. If you only counter and never hit her she won't die. You can level multiple times in a single fight easy. Then the game flies.

I just realised it's been more than ten years that I've been a member here now. So surreal. Honestly, I can't believe I'm still here. A good number of my friends here have moved on, I've more or less abandoned every other forum I ever posted at, and I've felt for a little while now that I'm mostly done with videogames as a hobby. :'D It's kind of surprising that I've stuck around for so long.

Thinking back on it, though, EP has honestly been one of the only constants in my life over the ten years since I registered here. I'm not even remotely the same person I was back then. I live on the opposite side of the world, I learned a foreign language which I probably use more than my native one now, I'm really happy and have tons of friends where I used to have none, I took a decision I thought I'd never be able to take which changed and continues to change my entire life with each day... Heck, even my real name is different now to what it was then. I guess maybe I continue to come here because it has been, in many ways, something of an anchor to some semblance of reliability and stability as my life has run again and again into uncharted territory. At this point, I think it's probably fair to assume that as long as EP exists, I'll be here in some capacity.

I might give it a shot sometime. Just fiddling around seeing what works and such. I wanna try and see if FF12 will work but then I say to myself do I really wanna go through all that shit again and fight Yiazmat again too? The answer is yes.

A while ago Dallas and I shared a pizza of questionable quality.

The bathroom smelled like death afterwards. I've never been more proud.

They're pretty good over here. They have two for the price of one every Tuesday so if I'm having a shitty/busy week l sometimes order a couple of large pizzas, keep them in the fridge and reheat a few slices as and when. Takes care of lunch for the next week.

I've only ever had Dominoes twice. I can't say I was disappointed, but there is better pizza around at roughly the same price.

If we had a 2-for-1 Tuesday here, though, I would order it every Tuesday. Pizza out here is fucking expensive.

I've heard good things, especially from my dad. Which is saying something if it's a Marvel movie

It's a great action flick, has lots of laughs and fantastic battle scenes. I can't say I was "blown away" by it, but it's definitely a great flick. I wouldn't hold it up to the calibre of Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy, though -- it's more of a fun action story with cool cinematics and fantastic wordplay/feuds between the protagonists. Some parts of it fell a bit flat (I felt it took far too long to set up the story), but for the most part it's pretty solid.

If you've seen most of the current-gen Marvel movies (Thor, Iron Man, Captain America, etc) and enjoyed them, then you'll love Avengers.

I had a pretty interesting call today. The assistant manager at my work, called and asked if I could work next Thursday for her 'cause, well, my boss got fired. And she became my new boss, and she told me I get to keep my job.
