Only one more episode of The Walking Dead game left, then I'm done.
I'm starting to see why this got Game of the Year. I wasn't too into it for the first couple of episodes, but it's definitely picked up in 3 and 4. Holy shit.
Hi Drag and Stark. How are you? Where is everybody? On Spring Break?

Nashville lost to St. Louis. I'm unsure how I feel about this game. On one hand, Nashville didn't surpass us by 1 point in the standings. On the other hand, St. Louis is now tied for 6th with Minnesota at 46 points each, while the Oilers only have 39. While those two teams are not untouchable for us, it narrows the gap that we can sneak into the playoffs. 8th seed is Detroit ( ) with 43 points. Oilers are just coming off a three game losing streak right now, so hopefully someone lights a fire under their ass and they jump to it, but there are only 9 games left and we have to be almost perfect for the rest of the season.
If we can beat Phoenix tomorrow, we will tie them for points and hopefully can start to leap ahead. While I don't want to brush Calgary aside, without Iginla in the line-up they have been rather lacking, and we demolished them the last two games we played, beating them 4-1 and 8-2. Beating Minnesota next week is going to be the huge turning point. Historically, we've played horrendously against them, so hopefully having home ice advantage will work in our favour. Next week is a light week, since we only play Minnesota and Colorado, but playing in Denver is very difficult to do, and even with Colorado sitting last in the league right now, home ice advantage in Denver is not something to scoff at.
Then we enter hell week. Last week of the regular season, we face Anahiem back-to-back Sunday and Monday -- Anahiem are currently 2nd in the West and 3rd in the league, trailing only Chicago and Pittsburgh for points right now. Then we face Chicago on Wednesday, then travel to Minnesota for our last game of the season against them. If we're still in playoff contention by that point, this is the key game. We have to beat Minnesota on our next two meetings to even have a hope for staying alive. Then one more day off, and it's back to Edmonton for the final game of the season against the Canucks, who massively out-played us two weekends ago.
If all goes well, we might be able to sneak into the playoffs. It's now at the point where we can't just rely on us winning -- the right teams also have to lose key games in their battle as well, which means those lower ranked teams like Calgary and Colorado, who don't have a hope for making the playoffs, need to step up and start surprising some people.
Happy?
