I guess you just fail it's not hard and no patching is required, sounds like you are not rebuilding the disc correctly, possibly the software you are using to make a DVD image.
PS2 CD's and DVD's have header data that normal DVD creation software does not even look at, this = fail for retail games
I could upload one of my discs but they are ESR patched, you can either try and unpatch it or just install ESR
I didn't trust un-patching as it changed from the original image on a CRC level though it may still work as normal after I don't know because I never actually tested anything after un-patching
PAL or NTSC version and what upload service?
The NTSC version I done isn't as old as the PAL version I done, that I done years back the NTSC version I only done last year while doing some tests with ESR then played through the extra content from the mag demo DVD with it

Ripped the NTSC-U version while I was waiting for a reply

Unpatched the ISO so it's no longer ESR but a standard PS2 DVD
