Default I AM NEW; I NEED HELP PLZ :[ (emulating GC games)

    hello

ok so i joined this site just today, but i got led here by the fact i discovered you can turn computer as a console, and i wanted to play one piece grand adventure with my brother cause we have been imitating zoro's moves as they are very cool, so i thought we must play that game the specials look nicely done. thus, i downloaded the game from this site in a direct link, took about 2 hours, then i opened it. and here is where my confusion starts, especially i am very new to these emulators things and stuff, so i need precise help. (not to the point of too much explanation, just a good detailed summary of steps). so i downloaded dolphin also from this site i believe before i downloaded the game, and the emulator opened, everything looks great and promising, until the game finished downloading, and i opened dolphin and it said no dmc or wsad's detected or something like that..so i ma like okay, lets see where the problem is. then i figure, the file is a rar, so of course it wont detect it . ...i open the file, it extracts to a yellow folder in my downloads, and i click the yellow file and all i see is some title of a file and ends with .001, .002, all the way for all thirteen files like that, with same title and what appeared same amount of bytes i think and some weird alone file that has a computer image with description of as i remember msinfo, that my computer says its either corrupted or old to be opened or something like that. but i say its bytes were low so i assumed its a useless file, not worth it like the numerical ones. so i kept searching the internet for two days for an answer, especially here, but i was led to a link which someone made a thread about file openers, and there was only a comment mentioned about those 001, 002, ... files, but it wasnt helpful for me much. all i got out of it was that its something known as split files, and you need to turn them into images (if thats even correct assumption in my head). so i was like, whew! i think i need to open those files with winrar, and they started turning into winrar image like books within a paper icon what looked like, and i did that for all 13, but i dont know what to do next? i double clicked on the files but they just get extracted somewhere and the extraction when its done closes and i see nothing happened. so any help here would be appreciated! i really wanna play this game with my brother, and is been about 6 days since the download, yet i couldnt even start it in the emulator. what do i do? have i done everything correctly yet? what steps should i take? thank you for any help!

ok, here is a much better look at whats going on in my case

Here is a lil hint break your text up a bit next hit the big enter key on your keyboard once in a while, it's makes it easier to read

00# files need to be extracted as well, make sure you only hit extract on the 001 file though

if for some reason winrar has an epic fail then use 7-zip instead

i turned them into what looked like a paper with books inside them by extracting them, or was that changing them into an image and i still have to extract them?

I suggest try extracting it using 7-zip, or if that fail as well, try HJSplit instead.

    Follow this guide.

Well, I'd imagine a .001 file cannot be unrar'd because it's not a .zip or .rar, I see they mainly have the same name for every file but the reason they have the .rar picture on the piece of paper is because an unknown file has defualt a piece of paper since the computer cannot define what kind of file it is.
So when you tell winrar to open it up it marks that as defualt for that type of file, 001,002,003 etc.
Try renaming them to .rar files. Since they all look the same, when you rename them, if you'd like, put [name001.rar] [name002.rar] for how ever many there are. If that doesn't work then I'd try 7-zip, but the main problem is that winrar cannot unrar a .00 file.

If he named them all .zip they would all conflict with each other correct?

In other words he wouldn't be able to use winrar then?

There's no need to rename them, the OP just has to try what Zorlon said.
Extract from the first part only (because it's a split archive), try using winrar first and if it doesn't work try 7zip (the latest version).
    I'd be surprised if 7zip can't handle it anyway...unless it's a corrupt download.

i tried 7zip, but it gave me also error, i followed same steps as pictures i posted up there, and i started brand fresh with 7 zip, where i deleted the extracted winrar yellow folder from the downloaded game, and reextracted another one using 7zip. then i followed same steps but with 7zip, though it gave me an error that was abit different that winrar's, but its still an error.

You can try to re download the game, maybe a chance it was corrupted, I believe someone else mentioned that.
Try to download it again and repeat the steps and post back.

use 7-zip but do not open with 7-zip, just right click 001 and hit extract here

If you still get an error it's more than like an error with the files, but do the above before thinking that

Video guide... it's too simple for a video guide

You can't open the gcm file, you need an emulator to open it, once you downloaf and configure the gc emulator, open the file using the emulator
