Red face Restoring game saves after loading state on VBA

I need help getting back a regular save file after accidentally loading an old save state on visualboy advance ver. 1.8.0 Beta3 (if it is possible). I've done this for 2 games already which are Kingdom Hearts:CoM and Yggdra Union. I would also like to know how to prevent the save state from overwritting all my save data for that game. I couldn't get back to playing my Kingdom hearts: CoM Reverse/Rebirth data because I loaded the save state from a period before I beat the game initially and it wont start off as reverse/rebirth even after I end emulation or close VBA completely. Please help!!

So, indirectly, you're saying that your save state is bad because it was (way) before you beat the game. You're gonna have to re-beat the game again.

I wouldn't recommend any beta versions, which are a bit like dolphin's development builds. They can have many texture defects, sound issues, random crashes and many more I can't explain.

Since you want to know how to prevent a save state from wiping out your actual game save, these are a few tips:

    1. Do a save state every time you do a proper save ingame.
    2. If you do a save state when there are no save areas, make sure you DON'T RELOAD THE SAVE STATE if you ever save properly.
    3. If your save state crashes, load the game normally.
