Back in the day when Mario Kart 64 came out, I used to throw tantrums whenever I lost. Got to the point where I started throwing the controller at the wall, which inevitably led to its destruction. For some odd reason, out of the 4 N64 controllers I had, I only threw the green controller, even when I wasnt using it.

I've had to stop my wife from throwing a controller through the TV. She was playing DoA Volleyball. Gambling wasn't going her way.

I've had urges, but never actually threw / broke a controller.

    No.

I've thrown them, but the thought of shattering the thing has always prevented me from downright slamming anything into a wall. Plus, my parents/gaurdians would've killed me!

I can't remember what the bowling game was called, but it was one where you swung your arm to throw the ball. I was drunk with some friends and we thought it was a good idea to try it out. Needless to say, the control left my hand 1 frame away from finishing the game and smashed into my tv. I was so pissed I took the disc out right away and snapped it in half as well. Only good thing about it was I was planned on getting a new tv and this little accident cemented my reasoning on getting a new one.

My sisters now husband back when they were dating used to break a controller every couple months or less. Online play can get very frustrating at times when you're having a bad day. I still remember his controller and how it was all taped together wondering what made him flip out so bad. Best thing he ever did was get a punching bag and tape a picture of some scrawny little punk to it to take his rage out on hahaha

Not in frustration, but my first console, a Famicom the controllers had a LOT of wear and tear near the end before they finally coughed it.

I have broken a good pair of earphones in rage though..

I broke two non-official PS2 controllers while playing Sonic The Fighters (in that recollection)... But you know, they weren't pretty good.

I found that the n64 controller was the easiest to break along with the game cube controller.
