back when that old super mario brawl thing was popular, not sure what was going wrong anymore. All I actually remember was smashing the controller into the floor and cracking it in half.

Never broken a controller, I'm usually quite restrained, but I did snap my NFS Prostreet CD in two ouf of sheer disgust of how bad the game was.

Never broke a controller but I remember throwing an old atari controller once and my mom grounded me for a week. Yup, never threw anything like that in anger again.

I've broken an Xbox 360 controller playing Ninja Gaiden 3 on the hardest difficulty. I'm sure anyone would.

I have actually gone through 4 controllers throughout the lifespan of Fifa 12. For some reason I still believe in pressing really hard for greater effect.

Well as for me, I did directly break it but I used it in this one fighting game that it eventually break after I got the hidden char, well not literally break its just some buttons that not responding at all, but I could press the start and select button though.

No I have not but my little brothers have destroyed plenty for me. Leaving them in the rain, yanking on them, fighting over them... have certainly destroyed them effectively in the past.
