Default Certain Dreamcast backups not working

I've burned a batch of 4 Dreamcast games (all from this site), but only one of them worked. It's weird, because for me, sometimes burned games work, and sometimes not, it seems to be random. The games I burned were Grand Theft Auto 2, Hidden & Dangerous, Blue Stinger and Worms World Party, and out of them, only GTA 2 worked on my Dreamcast. I've burned about 20 games in the past, all of the worked fine, and still do. Does any one know what's going on?

    I burned a Utopia boot-disc, twice, they didn't boot either :/

My Dreamcast should have a modchip installed, but I don't know how to check if it's true or not. It's a european model, number HKT-3030, doesn't say manufacturing date on the unit, but from what I've gathered, they are made in late 1999.

Any help is very much appreciated.

Most Dreamcast's do not need a mod chip to play backups

If you have a PAL Dreamcast they all play backups

If it's a NTSC U Dreamcast the later models do not play backups

If it's a NTSC J Dreamcast we don't have full info on those models but from results given they should all play backups

All the above without a mod chip needed

You may just need to retune the Dreamcast disc laser

    The video is not mine

A mod chip only comes in handy for playing original imports but backups no mater the region most Dreamcast's will play them just fine, some US Dreamcast's that are model (2) can only play data/data selfbootable Mil-CD's or only cdda/data selfbootable Mil-CD's to narrow that down it's Model (2) US dreamcast's made on November 2000 and those made on and after December 2000 can't play Mil-CD's at all, Model (2) made October 2000 and before hand are Mil-CD compatible.
