I know this one. my mommy used to sing it too me when I was a lad. Puff the Magic Dragon by Peter, Paul and Mary.
Plus the fact I hear it like everyday on the stupid Wal-mart radio.

Did any of you ever watch this cartoon movie named after the song? My mom tells me of when I was little that movie always brought me to tears, and it was my favorite cartoon. Even now, it's still a very bittersweet song.

Err, this MIDI's quality isn't that good, but the good quality one was too big to attach, so without furter hesitation:

The guy who sang it is gay, and probably the strangest oldies singer, he still makes songs today.
EDIT: FIRE GOT IT RIGHT, AGAIN!
    ------
Try this song, it's a newer one, about 6 or so years old.

The band was at it's highpoint at the release of the song, it completely swept the MTV Music Awards, the band's name is 2 words, the song name is the same word repeated with a comma inbetween. It's also a time of day...

Correctimundo! This is a great song from the early 90's, pretty much a one hit wonder, the band has a loyal following, though the band disbanded for the most part. It is played at school dances quite often.
