Also, so that everyone knows what kind of son I am, I'm going to be buying my parents meat for Christmas this year.

    Yup.

    Holy shit.
    I watched that recently.

    Spoiler warning:
A particular characters voice had me using the rewind function a fair bit

Probably should've got subtitles, so I guess I shouldn't complain

I turned subtitles on after the first twenty minutes. I agree, though, that parts of it were difficult to hear. I'm not sure if that's because the sound from my TV is shit (I don't have a stereo system of any kind) or because it wasn't overly clear.

I hear its not one of the easiest languages to learn, but I'm sure you could give it a go.
(A few students living in this building speak it as their first language...)

The cinema I watched that film in had really bad audio so Bane's voice sounded worse than normal, I could understand every word he said though.

Everywhere I've read says that it's not difficult at all, as long as you stick to Hindi speech and Devanagari for writing. Once you break into Urdu, you start looking at a different, much more confusing, writing script.

My pakistani friend said westerners wouldn't be able to pronounce most Urdu (yes I know it's not Hindi).

Why do you want to learn it anyway?
