Music CDs is the only thing I buy and collect, though I'm also interested in starting a game collection.

I tend to pirate old shit that I can't get in stores. I really want a Dreamcast and Genesis badly but I gotta be careful with money so I emulate them.

New crap I buy though, gonna get Res Evil 6 tomorrow now that it's cheap. Got GTA V on pre-order too because I'm one of those scumbag fanbois of the series.

Yes, I still buy games, CDs, etc. even though I can get them for free. I feel like I have an obligation to help support the creators if I use their product a lot.

Although with the New Great Depression, it's been harder and harder to buy stuff, unfortunately.

I hardly ever buy games any more besides what I can play on my phone. Time constraints as much as money tbf. My xbox 360 is in storage whilst I'm moving house but gtaV excites me lots so will undoubtedly be picking that up. Last new game I bought was skyrim.

However I did pick up a moga controller for my phone which makes playing anything from dead trigger to emulators much more fun.

Games: a guy very early in this thread put it best: it has to be worth it. I'm actually really disappointed in this generation, there weren't very many memorable games. I owned maybe 15 current-gen games, tops, and I current only have about 8.

Music: If it's like one song, no. If I really love a band or artist, yes, to give 'em some support.

Movies: Only if they're REALLY good by my taste.

Software: I mostly just use some otherwise free variant, i.e. Photoshop->Gimp, .zip software->free trials of WinRAR and WinZIP, etc.

Mega Man Legends 3 Fan Project!
We're back, baby. I'd love if someone could help me read this.

Well I've finally officially owned an xbox 360 so I'll probably buy some actual games. Not interested in softmodding it because it seems too complicated.
