Burning PS1 games does not have any secret way and don't see the need for a guide

Imgburn will do the trick it's free and one of the best burning software for any console burn

    Basic rules

    1. Burn at the slowest speed possible
    2. Only use high quality CD-R media (Verbatim is one such brand that has high standards)
    3. Always burn via a descriptor file, cue & ccd are the common ones

For It Might Be NES just grab a pre built CDimage for that, if you can't follow the instructions for building your own

If you realy need help burning I will guide you

P.S. you do need a modded system to play backup PS1 discs on real hardware or use some sort of swop/swap trick, burned CD-R PS1 games will not work otherwise

I could help out if you want, but zorlon is right you need to have your system modded or use the swap trick. I wouldn't use the swap trick as it damages the ps1 laser assembly over time and will end up not working anymore.

    swap trick?
it's when you put the original disc first then after some time you swap it with the burned one right?
the problem is i don't have the original disc, TT
and what is this "modded system"?
can i play this burned cd without this "modded system"?
sorry for your problem, really glad you answered.

Nope you can't run CD-R games on your PSX then

modded = mod chip installed and is the best method

back port mod is another option for the original model PSX (those will not work with all games, games that have a forced swop point will not work (Metal Gear Solid is one such game) and those that have CDDA tracks (Sound tracks) may have issues and will not play the sound tracks) [requires an original disc also]

Swop/Swap trick does indeed require a Original disc and is not perfect, it has the same issues as the back port mod

Swop/Swap with mod disc or cheat disc (both must be original not burned) again those have issues

You don't mod your chip, you mod your console. Installing a chip in your console would mean you are modding it so if can run emulators/play backups.

    What about SNES?

There is no way to play SNES on a PSone if that is what you are asking

P.S. You are not going to find a mod chip in a retail store Zer0-2k11 might be able to help you out there though, not sure at what price though, for all the fuss just use your PSP and run PSX games on that instead

Emulators for PSP include SNES Megadrive/Genesis GBA and much much more, not forgetting the PSX compat aswell

Zorlon is right, If you haven't found a modchip yet, i do have a couple chips here for sale if you'd like 7$ plus shipping. I'm going to have a store all setup for the end of the month here in the pawn shop with a larger supply. So for now i do have a couple modchips.

oh hey" zorlon, sorry, my bad, it's not playing SNES in ps1 but ps2, i knew a guy that could burn a SNES station to a DVD(ps2 use DVD right?) disc and be able to play it!
it's a shame i don't have any contacts with him anymore, do you guys know how to do it?

Zer0-2k11, i'll keep this in mind, it's up to my sister want to buy it or not, i'll be sure to contact you if i want to buy it.

Snes Station can be found pre built also

    http://www.epforums.org/showthread.php?53265

oops the above is a CD not a DVD

    there are guides around aswell

You do however need a modded PS2 console to play

if it's not let me know I have guide up for softmodding the PS2

Also for the PSone/PSX mod chips you do need to solder them to the main board it's not realy something that is that easy to do

If you do go for the ship option give as much info on the model and main board as you can so you can find out what way you need to wire it up
