Default folders on my R4 I-Gold adapter memory-card

    Hi

    I have bought a R4 I-Gold adapter with 4GB memory-card.

    The software is pre installed.

a folder named DNS is also there. I understood I have to put the nds files in here.

Can I also make new folders in the DNS, for example: folder 'games', folder 'learning games', folder 'puzzles and mysteries'? and then put the nds files in every folder according to the type of game?

It's not clear where to put the music files, and if possible to play, where to put videofiles(musicvideo's, movies? ) I do see some folders named moonshl2, moonmemo and homebrew. I thaught moonshl2 was for music, someone know where to put the mp3's, WMA files? a lot of folders are under moonshl2(7 folders)

So which kind of file can I put in which folder?

I have an Nintendo DS Lite (2006)

With Moonshell, I know you can put your media anywhere on the card, since it you can search for it within Moonshell (once you load the app, you can change the directory/folder where Moonshell "looks" for your music).

As for your games, that depends on the card. If you can look around (change folders/directories) after you load the card, then you should be able to organize your ROMs like that, however some cards lose compatibility when you do that.

Have you tried this out for yourself yet?

not yet tried. it's for my wifes little sister. I ordered the adapter previous Monday, when she was a whole week with us, but received it yesterday (due to one day the shop was closed and a holiday). But she left back to her parents as her school started, will be for this weekend maybe.

So it's a yes or a no, about ordering the games according to their type in folders? hmm.

I'm pretty sure you can, but you won't know until you try.
