Default Background and/or game characters look very blurry and pixelated in ePSXe

I've searched through Google and this forum, but all the posted information are outdated and I've tried their fixes but I still have the same problem. In some of the games the character models look nice for its age, but then in game backgrounds everything looks blurry and pixelated. In other games its both the characters and background that look pixelated and blurry.

To show you guys what I'm seeing:

My current video config set up:

    Pete's DX6 D3D Driver 1.77

    My computer specs:

    i5 2500K
    AMD 6870
    8GB RAM
    Win 7 64 bit Home

I've searched through Youtube for some tutorials and even downscaled the video config resolution down to 300x240 and it still looks blurry. This current setup I'm using only fixes most of the pixelated text problem.

Sometimes depending on the game (usually 3D ones) using any of the "texture filtering" settings will tend to degrade the quality or do other weird things to the graphics; in this case it looks like its the grey chunks on the left side of the pic there.

From what I hear, Petes OpenGL2 plugin is the absolute best for 3D games, but has hardware requirements (which is why I can't test it, very old laptop). Yours seems new enough though so it "should" work fine.

    Here's a link to the OpenGL2 plugin; http://www.pbernert.com/gpupeteogl209.zip

And this is a page with the optimal settings for your game; http://ks353422.kimsufi.com/database...LUS-00922.html
"I think that the problem with this video is it is highly derivative of many popular bands within the genre. Although when viewed on its own merits, it does have a deeper groove. However what it has in groove, it lacks in originality. One can't help but be reminded of such bands as Pearl Jam, White Zombie, Suicidal Tendencies and other bands that bear the mantle of so called "Alternative Rock". One is even reminded of Lorie Anderson when she wore curlers. Hehehmhm! This video speaks less to the heart and more to the sphincter. In closing, I think Korn would do well to learn more from -"

Nice, I'll try this later on. But what about the other games? Should I just keep those settings as well?

Also I've found another forum saying to use GSDx and I have those in sitting in the PCSX2 folder... but there's like 4 different versions.

I've actually never used GSDx so I have no idea how well it works. Generally for all 3D games you want to use the OpenGL2 plugin, however for 2D games you would use P.E.Op.S Plugin. In case you need it, here's a link; http://www.pbernert.com/gpupeopssoftwin118b.zip
