    Default Burning backup CD's

I keep hearing both online and from a few friends that you can burn ff7 disc 1 to a disc but when I look at the file it says 712mb. How are they doing it last time I checked cd-r only went up to 700mb are the compressing the file or something? Please help I stepped on my original disc and I would like to play ff7 disc1 to 3 again.

Even though the file size is over the limit, it will fit. The extra stuff is just burn settings and such

I should've added that I tried to burn the disc already and killed six discs in the progress.

    What file are you burning?

    The .bin or .cue file?

Also what program are you using to burn the file?

At first bin format than I tried img format and killed four more. I'm using imgburn and have tried burning other large games like ff9 disc1 and vagrant story and chrono cross again disc died after psx symbol.

What speed are you burning at? It shouldn't be set any higher than 4x. If that's the speed you've already attempted to burn the games at you could try burning at the lowest possible speed.

Also do you have a .cue file?

Try the lowest possible setting 1x. I that doesn't work then it could be your burner or the brand of CD-R you are using.

Other than that I've never personally attempted to do this so your friends might be wrong and it might not be possible to overburn the game on one disc.

CD-Rs are "Music CDs" and are the only media that will work on a PS1.

    Both
Burning cue file will burn the img file also.
Both should be in a same folder

Your memorex cd-r's might be crappy Indian ones.
If they are, they would be ok for music cd's, but not good for game discs.

    Spoiler warning:

There solid cool colors I bought in a usa wal*mart and they all work perfectly for my games that are under 700mb like spyro ripto's rage, spider the video game, mdk, ff8 1-4, crash bash, crash1-2, and medieval. And one question, how do I burn both at once when I extract them they're seprate and on the ones I mentioned I only had to burn the Bin or Img file.
