Smile Newbie question regarding NES roms

I am totally new to this emulator/rom world. Have downloaded NES emulator (JNES) and the entire NES rom pack to play on a Windows PC. Looking at the roms, seems to be a lot of PAL roms, thoses will not work here in the USA correct? Also all the rom files are zipped, do I need to go thru all the games one at a time and choose the US version and unzip? Thanks for any assistance. If there is a place/link for the basics that would be very helpful.

Some PAL games work for me. It just depends. Unfortunately, you'll have to go through every game and unzip each one. I went through that awhile back, it took several days. You can just use the US versions if you want. I really haven't had a problem with PAL versions or Japanese ROMS.

Pal version will work there.(that doesn't matter)
If 1 rom file is compressed then no need to extract. They are actually like that. Like "something.zip
If many roms are compressed in 1single archive then you need to extract.
    Hope this helps.

I like nesten personally. Nope as far as I know (on the emulators I've used) that region makes no matter, and they'l play zipped. if multiple games are in a zip you can then choose which one inside to play!!!! I've never used Jnes though.

Well no actually most emulators have built-in GPS that tells it which region games it can and can't play. He'll need to fly to Japan if he wants to play his japanese roms.

    Spoiler warning:
"I think that the problem with this video is it is highly derivative of many popular bands within the genre. Although when viewed on its own merits, it does have a deeper groove. However what it has in groove, it lacks in originality. One can't help but be reminded of such bands as Pearl Jam, White Zombie, Suicidal Tendencies and other bands that bear the mantle of so called "Alternative Rock". One is even reminded of Lorie Anderson when she wore curlers. Hehehmhm! This video speaks less to the heart and more to the sphincter. In closing, I think Korn would do well to learn more from -"
