Default Amtex Gone Fishin - Dosbox Problems

I've tried to get this game to work using Dosbox 0.74 on both Windows 7 64-bit and windows xp, but when I try to open the setup.exe or the gfishexe.exe file, nothing happens - it just skips to the next line. I've also tried using command prompt as well as a program called VMDSound, but I get the following: "Error reading configuration file: # 6".

    Any ideas?

    DosBox:-

e.g. for if you want to store the game at C:\Dos and you store the extracted game files at C:\CD

    Open DosBox
    type
    Mount C C:\Dos
    hit enter
    type
    Mount D C:\CD -t cdrom
    hit enter
    type

    hit enter
    type
    Install
    hit enter
    press a key
    press down to (Full install)
    hit enter
make sure C: is setected not Z:
    hit enter
edit the path for install if you wish then hit enter
    wait for install
    hit enter
press down to Finished and hit enter
    hit enter
    type
    SETUP
Set sound to be Sound Blaster Compatible and hit detect at the next screen
    Exit the setup bit
    type
    GF
    hit enter

You should be able to figure the rest yourself

EDIT finds a new error.. great, it doesn't detect the CD-Rom after installing

I got it to work. I still have the original CD from 1995 - seems that downloads don't work

Also: use Dosbox 0.61. The sound messes up in later versions.

Thanks Zorlon - I discovered it before I saw your post, but I was missing the -t Cdrom part
