What is your favorite genre?

I don't own a 360, but if I did, I can say that I would most definitely buy a ton of JRPGs for it, so long as I could find them.

On a general basis (all consoles), my favorite genre of games consists of something like this: RPG (JRPG, animal guardian sim [Digimon / Monster Rancher / Dragon Quest Monsters], fighting RPGs like Tales of, Final Fantasy, ARPGs like Kingdom Hearts and The World Ends With You, Megaman Battle Network & Starforce), Action-Platformer (Sonic, Megaman [classic, zero, some X]), Racing, and music like bemanistyle games (DDR, beatmania, pop'n music) (can't stand guitar hero or rock band).

Oh, and I love the SSX games, though boarding (air, snow, water, skate) games are about as far as I go in sports. (no basketball/football/soccer) ...Wii sports resort's fencing was fun though.

Rpgs Of course i played recently FFXII and loooooooooooved it and the kingdom hearts series is pretty awesome (recently played the birth by sleep PsP one) ..and some hack & slash looking forward for Devil May Cry 5!!!

I guess the generally-accepted term for my preferred genre is "Western" RPGs...

But there is at least a few titles from every genre that I enjoy (including sports games). I just tend to gravitate more towards RPGs, specifically the "open" ones.

Don't care about the genre though. As long as the game is good i like it.

But i prefer the Rpg's over any other genre.

Horror by far though I don't own a xbox 360 I think Silent Hill 3 would be one of my favorite also RPG (Final Fantasy VIII)

if i could only pick two, i'd go with rpgs (so long as it's allowed to include sub-genres) and sports so long as it's got racing involved as well.

Lot of RPG fans here, haha. I have to agree though, RPG's are probably my favorite genre, but i'm getting pickier and pickier as the years go by. I also like 3rd person action games such as Bayonetta, Ninja Gaiden, MGS, etc.

jrpg games and racing games

jrpg because they were the first games i ever played (legend of dragoon on the ps1 and then ffx on the ps2) eventually i bought all ff available on the psp lol. and racing games i mean street racing like need for speed games. i do enjoy gran turismo alittle, so yeah, my two favorite game genres

shmups and any wipeout other than the ps2 version (sorry, I consider the wipeout franchise it's own genre).
