Default What is your favorite genre?

Does anyone have a favorite genre when it comes to

playing games on your Xbox 360? If you could only

choose one or two types of games, what would you play?

Would it be RPG, puzzles, sports, first-person shooter,

    or something else entirely?

Mine would be RPG's and puzzles. I like the complex stories that come out of rpg games. It's the main reason that I play them. I like puzzles because it's a workout for my brain.

I love survival horror games. I also really enjoy RPGS of all kinds. However, anything with horror in it will always be my favourite.

RPGs and FPSs would be my top two choices. I'm going to assume that RPG and FPS covers all sub-genres too.

Feel as I have commented on here before....
Anyway, I would say my 3 (sorry, but I just can't narrow it to two) most loved Genres is Fighting, RPGs, and Action-Adventure in no particular order.

Ruh roh, a favorite thread! =O

If it's on the 360 from my relatively limited experience with the console I guess I like FPS's most, I feel like the joystick and button scheme on the 360 controllers works great compared to the controllers on the other current-gen consoles for this particular genre.

In general however I tend to find the most enjoyment in turn based JRPG's along with particular action RPGs, some good (if a bit cliche) examples pre-PS2 Final Fantasy and Dragon Warrior series', along with the Breath of Fire series up through 3 (couldn't really get into 4, never tried Dragon Quarter).
"I think that the problem with this video is it is highly derivative of many popular bands within the genre. Although when viewed on its own merits, it does have a deeper groove. However what it has in groove, it lacks in originality. One can't help but be reminded of such bands as Pearl Jam, White Zombie, Suicidal Tendencies and other bands that bear the mantle of so called "Alternative Rock". One is even reminded of Lorie Anderson when she wore curlers. Hehehmhm! This video speaks less to the heart and more to the sphincter. In closing, I think Korn would do well to learn more from -"

FPS games, of course. It's all the console has to offer

    Arrow

Racing has become my all time favorite genre over the years. I tend to prefer arcade style racers with less realism and more fun as opposed to simulations.

I actually thoroughly enjoy every genre of game except Sports games. I love games one and all other than that though.
