Default epsxe 1.7 and wired 360 controller, rumble not working

Well the problem i'm having is that the rumble feature is not working. The driver for the controller is dated 4/8/2009 and a newer one cannot be found when i select check for new drivers. Epsxe is configured to a dualshock controller and is set to dxJoy1 with big and small motors set to sine. I've also tried dxjoy2, 3, and burutter all to no avail. Suggestions?

I found a thread here where someone was having a similar issue except with a ps3 controller. It was a 64bit OS issue. Take a look it might help you out eventhough it isnt a 360 controller.

I dont have a wired 360 or ps3 controller to try it myself but he claims this fix will work for all emulators using direct input. Hope that helps

Yea, installing XBCD will enable rumble in ePSXe but may also disable it in PCSX2...
