i talk daily with game programmers and they complain DAILY about Java and it's insanity. this one guy uses BASIC, the other C++ a lot, and yet another in Python, and they all agree that they cannot stand java.

here is some code i can think of off the top of my head, should work in most compilers:

False, there are plenty of games that operate in java, not all of them advertise that they are in java though. Minecraft is a prime example.

I had to do Java before doing C. It was a very hard thing to start off with, but I'm glad I did. Never really used Java since my first year at Uni, but I found it was good just to get an idea of a lot of practices.
