ofc not. they will give up when they figure out the motors required to spin the discs fast enough to access data at the speed of Firewire or USB 3.1 burn out so fast they might as well discontinue it and just make flash drives! also, eSATA trumps everything except SATA 3 itself

My point was that transfer speeds don't need to be that high, and disc based media is fine.
