    Default Is it really gone?

Why? First SOR now this I loved browsing through all the games, finding stuff I overlooked

Is there an alternative, with lots of games and cover shots? I'm especially interested in JP PS1 games

I was wondering why no one else said anything... Looked closer and indeed there's a link on the ep main page, thanks

It threw me off because when you googled psx datacenter it doesn't show up

Snesorama is gone but the PSX Datacenter is still alive here:
    http://psxdatacenter.com/

So just bookmark the new url.

wow, glad I found this because it looks like it will help me get back on track with my psx emulation in the near future.

question though, is there a similar database for the ps2?

Not as far as I know, but maybe in the future I will start one in the Datacenter. But I will need more motivation, since the PS1 takes me a lot of time right now.

wow, so you're the one running the show there? I didn't realize that. (sorry for the spamming here) Well, I don't know if there is anything I can do to help, but if you need someone to test different games or configurations then I could volunteer, for either the one you're running now, or the possible upcoming ps2 database.
