    Default what is the best ethernet bridge for a 20 gig ps3?

    i just recently got a ps3 20 gig model and to my horror it only connects via ethernet cable. so i learned that i need to get a bridge but i am confused on what one i should get?

    Just plug an ethernet cable into your PS3 and plug it into your router.

    problem is the ps3 is in my room and the router is in the livingroom which is downstairs.

    You just need a long cable
    90-100 metres is the limit for cat5e cable length iirc.
    If you need more than that, you'll probably need a network switch or repeater in between 2 cables.

    Installing wall plates and cable in the walls/floors is a more permanent option, but you need to know what you're doing (power lines, water and gas pipes). And if you're renting it's unlikely you'd be allowed to do this yourself anyway.

    orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr you can pick up a powerline adapter, i use it in my room for my xbox / computer uses your electricity as a cable plug one in your room and one downstairs by your router and plug the ethernet cables in and your sorted.

    do my suggestion Garren, its not permanant as soon as you unplug it the connection is broken

    That. You can pick up a 100ft cat5 cable for cheap on eBay.
