I've seen youtube vids of them [coin ship] but I didn't see any that explained that well about them. Looking back at gameplay of SMB3, Mario's sprite looks a lot pudgier than I remember, heh.

Ever since the NSMB on DS, I thought it was a little too easy for Mario to get coins and with the footage of NSMB2 on the 3DS, it seems to be even more easier to get extra lives.

I don't remember the exact number of coins you need, but if you start at the beginning and play through each world, not using warp whistles, the coin ship usually shows up around world 6. Just collect every coin that you possibly can. If you're making a run through the game trying to get white mushroom houses (which involve collecting lots of coins in a certain stage), you'll be in good shape.

ugh, this seems like asking which of my all time faves i don't have memorized.

but i suppose for me its castlevania: SoTN and MMX mainly as i've played them for ages over the years. other than those (if this counts as a actual game), i think i got through 1-200 rounds of that weird bonus game? from sonic 3&knuckles, the one where you collect the blue spheres.

actually beat mmx 1 time without passwords/cheating and took 0 hits while getting all powerups start to finish, that was only the 1 time though after hours of retrying... wonder if i could do it again someday.

Most of all would be GTA San Andreas. Years of SAMP has made it so I could just about reconstruct every city in great detail from memory.

Fallout 2, Oni, American McGee's Alice, Fable TLC, Carmageddon 2, Silent Hill 2, Doom, Quake 1 & 2, Unreal, Shenmue 1 & 2, Jet Grind Radio, Skies of Arcadia, Vampire: the Masquerade - Bloodlines, Unreal Tournament series (with the exception of 3, it just depresses me), and the Half-Life series are all games I haven't stopped playing since the day of their release.

There'd be a long list of games, so I'll just pick the one I know most about.

Kingdom Hearts. Dawd Gamn Kingdom Hearts. I can't play it enough. <3

That was my assumption when I saw your name at first

The biggest challenge for me in OoT was learning to get everything in the Water Temple (including the Gold Skulltulas) without the aid of a walkthrough or anything similar. Perhaps one day I'll be good enough to do the 3 heart challenge.

    You will.
    It's not too hard.
But I was a brat, plus I had got that as a Christmas present.
Expected to Beat it 100% with my obsession.

    [EDIT]

Also Beat Super Mario 64 100%
    But who hasn't these days.

I'm close to doing that myself but I lost interest and haven't touched the game since. I would like to try my luck on the DS version with the extra stars but I can't stand playing the game with a d-pad when I was used to the N64 controller.

Resident Evil 5/4/3/2/1--- It's sickening how many times I've played these. I know every secret ammo placement on the old games. Every BSAA Emblem placement, and that stupid Diamond thing you get from killing Wesker the first time you see him. I've beat almost all of them with just the handgun (3/4/5). Yeaaahhh.. They aren't that hard at all. (4/5 with unupgraded handguns)

Metal Gear Solid 1/2/3(Still working on 4, but it just didn't interest me as much as the others.)-- Played these when I was a kid, loved them, and still love them to this day. Kinda worried about Revergence, but I'm still going to pick it up.

Pokemon Yellow/Blue/Red/Gold/Silver/Crystal/Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald/LeafGreen/FireRed--- I know every pokemon, every trainer placement. Arcanine FTW.

You know what other games I forgot? >.<

Parasite eve 1/2--- Still to this day 1 is probably one of my favorite games of all time. 2 was good, but just didn't have the quality of one.

Digimon World--- My favorite game of all time. You can bet I was a master tamer. Phoenixmon FTW.
