Thread: PC Freeze's when trying to play N64 games.

    Default PC Freeze's when trying to play N64 games.

    some help would be nice for this issue my whole computer freeze's and there's a sound loop and it happens every time i try and play a N64 game so can anyone help me with this issue?

    What emulator are you using, what game are you trying to play, and what are your system specs?

    Getting around to it... | Available via Retroshare 16/7.

    i use project 64 and it happens with any game i play.

    how do i check my system specs? sorry for asking

    Go to Start, then Control Panel, then Performance and Maintenance, then See basic information about your computer.

    You'll see the specs, at least. A very minimum version of it.

    i have an
    Intel Premium D CPU 2.80 GHZ
    Memory is 1.00 GB

    1 gb of ram? could possibly be the problem here.

    I know this is going to sound redundant, but do you know how to check your graphics card.
    It will help this out greatly.

    Intel(R) G965 Express Chipset Family

    i never had a problem playing them before until recently

    I do not see the problem, your specs are great, way so for the emulator.
    Didi you check to see if the N64 roms are GoodRoms?

    i downloaded them from this site i only recently encountered this problem it started at the start of this year. the same problem doesn't even allow me to play PC games i normally would be able to play

    But what specific errors shows up whenever you try to load a game?

    I'll be able to play the games for a few seconds and then the whole screen will freeze and there be a sound loop until i have to restart my PC

    Bro. It may be some errors in your registry, or your graphics card is corrupt.
    Or maybe I'm overreacting about this.

    anyway i can fix it? this problem is getting rather annoying
    also a little more info is that it only seems to be 3D games that are giving me the problem as i'm able to play SNES,PSX,NES, GB, GBC,GBA, DS, Sega Genesis just fine but i can't play N64 and PC games so i assume it's my video card then?
