Default does anyone notice the difference between a standard A/v Cable and a component?

i have one for Wii and PS2 i don't see a difference, other than a slightly sharper image, where as for PS3 i can see a huge difference between AV and HDMI

    my TV is Sony Bravia

also, would a Dreamcast Component or HDMI cable change anything?

yes a Component Cable does make a hell of a difference , i have one on my PS2 and Wii and the picture is crisp/clear and smooth.

Massive difference here too. And for Dreamcast, you should get ahold of a VGA box, provided your TV has a VGA input (pretty much any HDTV should~). It's amazing how good many Dreamcast games look in VGA.

I cry at the greatness that is HDMI. Owns a Samsung.

PS2 i notice more difference than with the Wii (Ps2 games on A/v look grainy on hdtv), the PS2 doesnt look all that great on an HD tv either way though (text always seems fuzzy regardless of A/V or Component)

im on a 32 inch HDTV and i see no reduction in quality of Ps2 games, maybe its your brand or something, ever try messing with the sharpness option?

i think it was more because it stretched the games? or could be because i'm using a PS2 Phat

you can make the screen ratio standard 4:3 and im using a fat as well, some games look ok stretched, some dont.

no idea, but like i said the component takes away the grain and makes it look like it did on my old SD tv. and to make an example of what i was saying, try watching Shrek 1 on and HDTV, you can see all the flat edges and Model holes that werent visible on older tvs and a projector (look into Donkey's eyes lol)

Without the component cables I wouldn't even play PS2 on an HDTV.

Because it looks like shit on a dick. It was raping my eyes.

I still just play PS1&2 on an SDTV for the most part.

Yes large difference here when I switched from Component to S-Video for my PS2

Same can really be said even for PC Monitors Switching from D-Sub (VGA) to HDMI / DVI is like night and day in crispness and color richness
