Favorite Pokemon Game

Hey I am just being a little curious here because Pokemon is such a successful franchise what is your favorite Pokemon game?
Mine personally is probably a toss up between Pokemon Yellow or Gold. Yellow just because you can get all 3 starters and a pikachu and gold probably because it was the first one I owned individually.

I never owned Emerald, I do have ruby and sapphire though. I also own Heard Gold and agree with you that it is great, its just that there are almost too many things to do in it.

Yeah it is a good thing but I couldnt get lots of the stuff. I only have an original ds so I cannot connect to my wifi since i use a WPA2 key and the original ds only compatible with a WEP key.

My vote goes to Heart Gold Soul Silver too. The original GBC games were one of the first games I played of Pokemon (I wasn't born mid 90's just never got my hands on it until then) and it had many memorable tunes to it.

I have not tried Gen 3 but I hope an enhanced port of it is due soon.

Crystal; it has all the engine polishing of the Gen 2 games, along with getting both mascots, new events for its own mascot, the first introduction of animations to the main series and finally getting the option to play as a female.

I really don't care for the remakes of Gen 2; it uses the slow ass Gen 4 engine that I hate and it has the horrible gimmick of a follower Pokemon that should have died with that gimmick of a game called Pokemon Yellow.

Me too. That is one of the features that I like. The fact that we can interact with our Pokemon by turning around and face our pokemon then press A button, love it.
But from the latest trailer of the upcoming Pokemon Black/White 2 game, it seems that they don't plant the same feature. :<

I actually dont know if thats why or not. I don't own a Gen 5 Pokemon game, newest one I have is HeartGold but couple friends of mine thought it was awesome that you can have any Pokemon follow you or not, guess its something to look in to.

First pokemon game I had was Gold. It was also my gateway to gaming. (Born 1993.. So, of course I was a pokemon kid) I've owned every single pokemon game in existance, and know almost all of them by heart. I think my favorite out of all of them.. Probably emerald. I loved the music for that game, and I loved the style. The pokemon were actually believable, and it had a really good story. Unlike most people, I never really cared for pikachu. I could have done without him. Favorite pokemon anyone?

Personally... My favorite is a toss up between Zigzagoon (Dat RACOON IS SO CUTE.. No I'm not gay.) and Arcanine (He's a freaking beast.. Best fire pokemon ever pretty much.)

I have only played the original red and blue versions. I only owned the red version. I don't know how the other games are to be honest. I may get around to playing them eventually.
