Why don't these £100 ish monitors have HDMI?
    Dunno.
But I was thinking of getting a Samsung led monitor around that size about a little while ago (in store, not online).
    Can't remember the model number.....they were $140au.
    I decided I didn't need it

Are AOC any good? I've never looked at them

No idea. I imagine it has a warranty though if it's a piece of shit.

If you get a cheap monitor with dvi I guess you could just get an adaptor.
Seems to work for other people.

But I really don't think that monitor you linked to is that cheap.........I've seen Samsung's and Benq's cheaper than that.

Maybe the PC fags will know if it's a good deal or not

Yeah PC World's prices really aren't the greatest. I would shop around but I haven't really got anywhere local to shop around at.

I thought you lived in a city?
Did the hoodlums burn and loot all the shops?

There are quite a few places I can check out for all sorts of things within a 30 minute drive.......and I'm in the country

Drive being the key word. You can fuck off if you think I'm paying £3.70 for a bus ticket, on the off chance there's nothing in town I want to buy.

I guess it's different for me.
I drive into town probably 4-5 times a week.
So when I'm in I usually look around a few places.......even if I don't plan on buying anything.

Yes but you have a car and can get there relatively easily. Getting to town or anywhere really for me = effort.

Well, technically I haven't owned a usable car for a few years now.
But I have access to three atm......there's usually at least one I can borrow.

I still haven't committed to a project vehicle.......many options, but nothing I've got a horn over

I might go have a look at a mk1 Swift GTi next week.

How long does it take you to get to town on the bus?

Someone with mad Photoshop skills should make me an avatar out of this picture in my sig (find the original or PM me for it though.) It's been resized too small.
