Default For a survey, where do you buy your school texbooks?

I would like to get a good idea of where generally most students get their textbooks at. Doesn't matter your country, but if you do live outside the US please say so.

So far from my experience I've been buying off amazon or half.com and I'm not too keen on the idea of renting textbooks.

Unfortunately more of my textbooks are being changed just slightly so that they are called "campus editions" and can only be bought on campus. I have a sinking feeling too with newer editions of books, they sometimes take away important material other older textbooks would have included. Why this is the case, I do not know.

I appreciate the feedback. I might even be introduced to a new site from you guys.

In my country, government lend us all the necessary text book for free until we finish the study. There are peoples willing to buy the text books usually from the bookshop.

ITT sends mine to me. Back when I went to a different technical college, they had a book store on campus.

Im lazy, so just grab all of mine from the campus bookstore.
I would like to look on ebay/amazon this next semester but I don't always know until the first day of class whether I need the book or not.

Amazon or the book store. But Amazon is usually better because the price is much better.

I've bought mine online as well but I used campusbookrentals and another site. Saved me at least $200 LOL. The only bad thing was that one of the books I rented was used of course and the software that came with it was for individual use and could only be used by one person. I failed the class because the software was needed for the final exam Funny how it wasn't a requirement when I retook the class
