    Default Audio Help

I just started using PCSX2. I am trying to play Magna Carta (downloaded here) and so far it runs great in the beginning (opening theme song) BUT when it's time to start a new game, the sound is SO slow. It's terrible. It's a starting scene that should only take a few mins, but because of the speed it takes like 6 or 7 mins. Is this a configuration problem or a problem with the game itself?

Your emulator config and computer specs will help but you can try Syncronizing Mode : ASynch Mix and see if it helps and also use some speedhacks if the frames are very low

Thanks! What's the easiest way to get the specs and config so I can post it here, in case the synchronizing doesn't help.

open start then type dxdiag and open it.
then you can see your specs save them and then copy here.
don't copy the whole text. only important things needed.

The synchro helped, but things are still pretty choppy. Sounds like a bad techno remix.

The enmulator if you don9 t have now dowload one of the lates versions:
    http://pcsx2.net/svn.php

And for the emulator configs you can use programs like fraps to take and screenshoot of your current screen or use programs like infantvee/iopiew and after printscreen , in infantview press control +v and save the screenshoot: take screenshoots of :
    - Main emulator: your ee/iop config, VUS configs,Speed hacks and gamefixes if you use any.
    - GSDX config in graphics : Select native resolution, 8 bits textures
    - SPU-X config in audio

You'll have slow speeds on most games due to your processor. Have you tried enabling turbo boost, it should help quite a bit? Do you have a PS2?

I think your processor speed is low.
But anyway try another audio plugin. i use P.E.Op.S. plugins.
    or try this video's settings.

Better keep with spu2.x sounds a lot better, Select MODULE 1 X-audio and interpolation = 0
And try to use speedhacks they gain a lot of frames, 0.9.6 is a very old version and a lot less compatible

    @Christina Strange:

The whole reasons why the sound get slowed down as soon you start a new game is because of your CPU, which is way beyond the minimum requirement of the emulator, plus the game itself is highly demanding in both CPU and GPU.
I won't recommend using other Synchronizing modes other the default one with his/her specs, as it will either do nothing or makes things worse, same goes to other settings.
