Default What can cause some rar files to corrupt?

I think the tittle is enough to explain my question.
Currently, I have quite a lot of rar files that I stored inside my disk. But I wonder if they can get damage, broken or corrupted such as crc error and something like that.
If they can, how so? What's really causing it?

The posts themselves provide possible reasons for RAR files to become corrupt over time. Though the guy never got an answer the bottom line is to use PAR2 in order to efficiently recover files if need be.

I kinda google searched your thread title. lol.

They will not get corrupt automatically. too much fragmented disk can lead corruption of files.

Thanks for the answer guys. I have tried googling but I found no definite answer.
    Shadowrun's finding is quite surprising.
Monhit Tanwar; Damn, if they can get corrupted automatically, then I might have to make a 10% of recovery record.

By the way, another question, is it possible to make 100% recovery record inside the rar file itself? Cause the maximum that I can get is 10%. Any reason for that?

    That depends on corruption.

    Use defraggler regularly.
Then your rar files will not corrupt.
This will reduce fragmentation of your disks.

Even then Muscab, the way the guys in the link I provided were speaking 5% sounded like a good amount for a recovery record, so I'm sure 10% is more than enough. You don't need too much in order to recover the RAR, at least I don't think so.

Well, I'm just looking for to make 100% recovery record. Coz 10% is not enough. The last time, a big rar file that I have was corrupted. It have the recovery record of 10% but when I repair it, it is still corrupted.
That's why I'm trying to find 100%; just wondering whether it is possible or everything is just fix at 10% and nothing more than that. Btw thanks guys.

Yes, That's good. Will it recover 100%. Doesn't it depend on corruption.
I'm asking for my info. I also don't know what that app does.

I'm looking for to make 100% recovery record inside a rar file. With this tool, its only creating 100% recovery record outside the rar file in which Winrar can do the same.
The only thing that bother me right now is how to make a 100% recovery record inside the rar file itself.

It's not possible because you don't need 100% recovery records to repair a damaged file.
