Smile What is Your Most Nostalgic Video Game Music(VGM)

(inhales)... Hey Emuparadise! I just want to start a forum about nostalgia. Well why would we care for old games if it wasn't for that hint of nostalgia, good gameplay, and music.

But to the Point what is Your favorite VGM(S)?

Post as you see fit. No Pressure, I just want to know what other VGM Soundtracks I've missed.

My Favorite come from Sonic 3 & K: Flying Battery Zone Act 1
Sonic 2: Aquatic Ruin Zone Act 1
Donkey Kong Country 2 : Bramble Blast
    *Applause*

I have more but.. that's too long for me to type.

Oh, here is may main list, or what I recall right about now...

    Sonic the hedgehog: Green Hill
Sonic the hedgdhog 2: Chemical Plant
Tiny Toon: Buster Hidden Treasure: Lava Cave Stage
Sonic 3D Blast: Diamond Dust (Both Acts... though I enjoy the second one much more)
    Super Mario World: Intro
Streets of Rage: Stage 1 (Don't really know the name)
Devil Hunter Yoko: Stage 1 (This game is japanese and you don't really know how much effort I put into finding the rom for it... boy... I openned a list with ALL Genesis games EVER and looked one by one till I found it... And I didn't find as Devil Hunter Yoko, it was with its japanese name: Mamono Hunter Yoko... ¬¬ That was pretty crazy, but I love the song of this first stage... I received this game in my 8 years old anniversary (I think it's that, don't remember if was 8 or 7 exactly... I assume it was eight... I play genesis since was 4, anyway).

And you may say this ain't too old, but Resident Evil 2's Main Hall of RPD song is something too...
I think that is it for now... can't remember the rest.
Listen to my cover using Vocaloid :

I didn't say the cutoff to the years for it to be nostalgic. You're in the boundaries and I will accept late 2000's (Sept.- Dec.) Then it's a little newer and more general IMO.

*slams head* Cant believe I was such an idiot for not stating that.

You don't want to hear whatever version they used for Generations. The remix for the classic Sonic level is atrocious .

My response for the thread: Baldur's Gate - BGII. Best video game soundtracks evvvvvvarrrrrrr.

On a couple PS1 games I own and seen gameplay of, I'd always hear that song by Rob Zombie called Dragula, the "Hot Rod Herman Remix." First heard it from Twisted Metal 4, and then I noticed it used o n other games.

Everytime I hear it or the regular version played I can't help but laugh.

Can't really remember any tunes off the top of my head lol.

    Street Fighter (general)
Super Mario Brothers 1& 3 (Don't hate 2 Just not so great music IMO)

I guess I am too picky in choosing VGM so when I think of a few more I'll be back.

My favorite VGMs I can vividly remember are
Gran Turismo 1 - Ash - "Lose Control"
And basically almost every single track from Ridge Racer R4

Not that old but that's what I grew up with.

Don't worry. And, oh, City Scape is a real cool song...
But I love Open Your Heart... I have it on my portable player and Diamonds in the sky from Sonic R is really something as well.
I dunno, everything from before 2004 give me some nostalgia... even cause I'm only 19, hahahaha, 8 years may sound nothing for many people, but for someone who only lived 19, it is pretty much.

Well, I'm only 18 (so your my elder by a year) but I know how that feels. I like Kingdom Hearts 2 music and I may have said a later cutoff date.....but I like 2000 and most older people would agree that's nostalgic central for them. Of Course you're free to make a new Thread and I'd love to comment on it while I can.
