Well,I like Final Fantasy IX more than else..
The reason is :
- FFIX has 'many' and I said 'many' sidequest
- Great story,but disc 4 doesn't has synergy with disc 1-3
- I love Chocobos ! In FFIX Chocobo Hot and Cold is very cool
- The new summon,Ark

There are some FF games that I haven't tried yet. But so far, FF IX is the best imo as well.

I have several favorites Final Fantasy VIII- It was the first one I played. I like the story as convoluted as it is.
Final Fantasy One and Two. Mainly I like Two because it's easier to level up and the story is great. One because it's the first one.

It really looks like FFT 2, the music, the artwork, I'm more confident than usual in these rumors. The War of the Lions remake for the PSP was magnificent, the fact they considered making a second one brings one solid man tear down the crevice between my cheek and the corner of my nostril, where it sits glistening in the light that is the freshly replaced bulb at the local GameStop where I see myself in the future reserving the long awaited game that will make these 19, and soon to be 20 years of my life all well worth it.

Final Fantasy VIII has been pretty much the only one in the series I can actually sit down and play and not get bored of. I've tried a few of the others, I'd say FFIX was the only other game I got far in to but I didn't finish it. I think I prefer VIII because of the story... AND Triple Triad.

Above the Rest
Well, I played most FF games, be it the main series or spin-offs and I liked almost all of them. If I have to narrow one down, that would be FFVIII, my first Final Fantasy game, which hooked me from the start and introduced me to the FF series. A close second would be Crisis Core. Zack is badass

All the older ones 1-6 are my favs although specifically 3 and 5 are my tops.
Why? They were most challenging and most enjoyable, cast and music (i played the ds version of 3) and plot was like awesome
