Default Tales of Rebirth PCSX2 new game trouble

Whenever I boot up Tales of Rebirth it will sometimes freeze at "Produced by Namco Bandai". If it doesn't the rest will run smoothly, and I am able to watch the opening and navigate the title screen with ease, but every time I select to start a new game, it always freezes. Anyone know what's causing this problem? The other Tales games I play on the PCSX2, Destiny and Destiny 2 work just fine.

    My Computer: Toshiba Satellite A665D

Processor: AMD Phenom (tm) II P960 Quad-Core Processor (4CPUs), ~1.8GHz

    Memory: 4096MB RAM

    Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit

    Emulator: PCSX2 9.8

    Graphics Plugin: gsdx-sse2-r46
    Renderer: Direct3D 10 (Hardware)
    Interlacing: None
    Resolution: Native

    PA PADSSSPSX
    SPU2: spu2PeopsSound
    CDV cdvdiso-r4600
    USB: USBnull
    FW: FWnull
    DEV9: DEV9null

tell me if there's any other info I need to post and thanks for the help

EDIT: I don't know how, but I seem to have fixed the problem temporarally by using the skip MPEG hack and using save states, but whenever I use save states the sound doesn't work. Any ideas on that?

Change your SPU2 to SPU2-X and use different Synchronizing modes.

Load your game from ingame save before attempting using any of the said modes.
