I'm fairly sure someone started a project to load C64 games that was similar to the CF cards for Amiga.

Actually, there is now an SD - C64 interface that loads so quickly, people have written video playback software.
The picture quality and color range is that of the c64, but you can watch full length movies on it. And of course play games from it.
Eh, it's cool. To be perfectly honest, out of all the stuff I'm selling the C64 is the one I'm least bothered about saying goodbye to. Never use it anymore anyway.
