Default how to rip a ps2 iso

I am trying to make an iso of final fantasy vii dirge of cerberus for use with openps2loader v0.8. im tried it with imgburn and alcohol 120 and have encountered the same problem. the ingame movies stutter and the noise echos. gameplay is fine and without errors but movies suck. i have not encountered this with any iso downloaded so i assume it is my method of making the iso.

Links to tutorials or intructions will be appreciated

Are you playing it from a USB drive? Sounds like the typical problems PS2 games have playing from USB because of the PS2's USB 1.0 ports.
