Can I play the downloaded ISOs on the actual console?

First of all, sorry if this has been asked a bizillion times already.

I was wondering, can I burn the ISOs I download from your website to a CD, and then load that CD onto my original sony PlayStation and play?

Hmm modded console, what does that mean? I remember back in 1999 or something when I got my PS1, it wouldn't play any games and would display "please insert the original PlayStation disc" message. Then I remember my dad took it to "some guy" who "did something to it", and it could play any game since. Do you think this is what modding was?

In any case, I'll burn a copy and try.
