    Question Sound Issues

    First off, hello!

Now, I'm using ePSXe v1.7.0 and am having some troubles with the sound. When I try to play Megaman Legends (the only game I have right now), the sound either frequently becomes distorted, skips, or both. I've tried switching between all three of the recommended SPU plugins but they all do that to varying degrees.

I'm not sure what my netbook's SPU is but I'm using a HP Mini 311-1037NR.

Is there a specific plugin that doesn't cause this or a way to fix the problem or am I just screwed?

    Okay, some more details.

    Emulator: ePSXe 1.7.0
    GPU Plugin: Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.9
SPU Plugin: ePSXe SPU Core 1.7.0 (I have also tried Eternal SPU Plugin 1.41 and P.E.Op.S. DSound Audio Driver 1.9)
    PSX BIOS: SCPH1001

    Update:

Okay, by using Deamon Tools and having ePSXe run it through a CDROM, I've managed to mostly fix the audio during cutscenes that don't have text boxes. It still distorts every now and then but it's barely noticeable. However, for cut scenes that do use text boxes (read: a majority of the cut scenes in the game) it's arguably even worse.

Yep. Got the exact same issues as I had with ePSXe when I ran the file directly and not through Deamon Tools.

Maybe you should try another game to see if your netbook's gpu and spu are powerful enough.

Also, try using the search function. Among other infos, generally it's suggested to turn on cdda, music, xa and srq hack in the sound plugin.
