I guess we have to rely more on torrents now. Does EmuParadise have all the stuff on torrents as well?

It starts with one site, then another and another. Then other places take to it and follow. Check this out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_lXau4TDt7M and this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Zfj6...ayer_embedded#!

@gezegond torrents are worse easier to track. And those site will be affected too.

This is like a reality show. When it finish people will go to do something else. Well, the U.S. Justice Department shut down the MegaUpload site during an investigation into alleged copyright infringement. What happens now with all the data (games, soundtracks, scans, retromags collection...)?

    http://www.retromags.com/forums/topi...n-unavailable/

I don`t know what is the problem, because gentlemen like the ones in retromags are preserving a part of video game history by scanning printed papers or documents in format of magazines, comics, art books, strategy guides and more that don`t exist anymore. Why generalize attack...? Why not an specific one...? The "department of justice" just point there fingers and say erased everything from this and that. How lazy they can be... Oh well, shits happens... To hell with the devil... What comes around goes around... Whatever!!! Power to the people and gamers alike. Don`t surrender!

The road to hell is paved with good intentions. . .too many people who have no knowledge of Anon, DDOS, or whatever will get caught up in the crapstorm. The last thing we need is a giant justification for the government to pass SOPA and who knows what else. All this does give the government ammo in February. From what I hear, SOPA will be reintroduced. The bill was defeated through legitimate means - the Internet Strike, contacting various members of the Legislative Branch, etc.
If we ever want to keep these kind of Draconian/Machiavellian law from ever passing then take the proverbial High Road. Protecting our Rights should never have a 'Means Justify The Ends' mentality because sooner or later it will not end well for us.

It says here that they did it to show off their power.

It seems this doesn't matter, because both PIPA and SOPA are on hold nearly for good.

The question is, did the creators knew about all that copyrighted stuff and reacted accordingly, everytime the copyright holders made a copyright claim? I remember the time when Rapidshare were still the kings of 1 click webhosting. They won every court case thrown at them. It was simply because they can't control every freaking file uploaded at their servers. But they can easily remove those files, if copyright holders notify them about it.
