Default ATTENTION! MEGAUPLOAD HAS BEEN SHUT DOWN BY THE FEDS!!

    From the NY Times:

Federal prosecutors in Virginia say they have shut down one of the world’s largest Internet file-sharing sites, Megaupload.com, and charged its founder and others with violating piracy laws.

An indictment accuses the company of costing copyright holders more than $500 million in lost revenue from pirated films and other content. The indictment was unsealed Thursday, one day after Web sites shut down in protest of two Congressional proposals intended to thwart the online piracy of copyrighted movies and TV programs.

Megaupload.com has claimed it is diligent in responding to complaints about pirated material.

The indictment says that at one point, Megaupload was the 13th most popular Web site in the world.

Wow, everything is down... I'd kinda like to see their inevitable counterclaim, shutting down the 13th most popular site on the net costs $$$. If they feds aren't successful they could easily get hit with Megauploads lost income.
*PSA* Wii Redump collector's can now unscrub ISO files. So scrubbed games can now be verified. You can find the program to do this here

Well, here is the fucking problem, They are charging the people who founded it who have nothing to do with piracy, and are actually trying to stop it on their site, and THEY'RE the one's that get charged? It makes no fucking sense.
I have no hope for this country anymore.

this is screwed up, as far as I'm concerned the us government can go and jam their SOPA up their ass side ways for all i care. Some one should counter sue the US gov for sticking their nose in every ones business.
