I'm curious to know whether or not you can permanently put a cfw onto a psp go. Anybody know if I can do it without bricking it?
Yes you can, the only option is to install 6.20 PRO, and use the permanent patch included with the installer.
However, there always small chances of brick when installing CFW on non-flashable PSP, but as long you do it right, and follow the right guides, then you're good to go.
6.39 PRO doesn't have permanent patch for GO(3000, and later 2000), but CIPL Flasher, that can only be used on 1000 and early 2000.
Of course it is flashable, but what I mean is, it can't be fully-flashable like 1000 and early 2000, doing so will cause the PSP to brick.
plus like I said before, GO can only have permanent CFW on 6.20 PRO.
(yes and yes, all GOs are 5g.)
I recommend 6.20 Pro B10
Here is my tutorial
How to install 6.20 Pro B10 (Back up you're PSP)
Once on 6.20 OFW put the Proupdate, Fast Recovery and Perm Patch folders in you're psp/game folder and turn you're psp back on.
Then run the Proupdate first and then go to system info and look at the mac address if its 05g and under then run the Perm patch, press x then o and you're done enjoy.
If its 06g or above then the perm won't work use the fast recovery.
Here is the link for 6.20 Pro B10.

Hope that helps!
If higher than 5g you can use fast recovery after Proupdate. But it won't be perm.
Not responsible for anyone bricking there psp.
After you install I recommend changing the version.txt to 6.60 or higher so you can play the games after 6.20. If you need help change the version.txt pm me and I will show you a safe way without messing with the flash0.
